Short Summary

FourEver Timer is an interval timer for iPhone and Apple Watch. There is no account, there are no ads, your data is never sold, and you are not tracked across other apps or websites.

Your timers and workout history stay on your devices and, if you turn on iCloud Sync, in your own iCloud. To improve the app, FourEver Timer collects usage statistics, crash reports and recordings of its own screens. In the EU, the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland this happens only if you agree; everywhere, you can turn it off in Settings at any time.

Who Is Responsible

FourEver Timer is made by Oleksandr Siholaiev, an independent developer, who is the controller of the data described here. Contact: support@fourever-timer.app

What Stays on Your Devices

FourEver Timer saves the following on your iPhone and, if you use it, your Apple Watch:

  • Your timers — names, intervals, rounds, sets, phase durations, and the names of the exercises in a circuit.
  • Your workout history — completed and partial sessions, with the date, duration, and number of rounds.
  • Your preferences — sounds, cues, theme, and settings.

This data is kept in the app's private storage. The developer cannot see it. The iPhone and the Apple Watch exchange it directly with each other. When you delete a timer or a session, a short note that it was deleted is kept for up to 180 days, so your other devices delete it too.

Some features work with this data without it leaving your device:

  • Widgets, Live Activities and Control Center controls read your timers and history on the device to show them.
  • Spotlight, Siri and Shortcuts — your timers and your most recent sessions are added to the search index on your device so you can find and start them. When you describe a new timer to Siri or Shortcuts, your words are understood on your device, using Apple's on-device model where available; nothing goes to the developer. Requests you make to Siri are handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy.
  • Head gestures — if you turn them on, the app reads head movement from your AirPods for a few seconds near the end of a rest, to recognise a nod or a shake. The movement data is analysed on your iPhone as it arrives and is not stored or sent anywhere. iOS asks for Motion & Fitness permission for this; the app does not read your activity history. To show the right icon, the app remembers which AirPods model you use, on your device. If you share usage data (see below), the fact that a gesture was used, such as “nod”, is counted as a usage event, without any movement data.
  • Sharing a timer — the link and QR code are made on your device and contain that timer's settings and names. They go only where you send them; no copy passes through a server of the developer.

If you have iPhone backups enabled, this data may be included in your own iCloud or computer backup, in the same way as data from any other app.

iCloud Sync

iCloud Sync is part of FourEver Timer Pro. It is on once you have Pro, and you can turn it off at any time. When it is on, your timers (with the names of their exercises) and your most recent workout sessions are stored in your private iCloud storage, operated by Apple, so they return after a reinstall and stay the same across your devices.

The developer has no access to your iCloud data. You can turn it off under Settings → Data → iCloud Sync in the app; what is already on your device stays there.

Apple Watch & Apple Health

On Apple Watch you choose how a timer runs. Only if you choose Record Workouts does FourEver Timer use Apple Health, and only with your permission:

  • It saves the workout to Apple Health, so it counts toward your Activity rings. The workout includes its rounds and sets and, in a circuit, the names of the exercises.
  • It reads your heart rate and active energy during that workout, to show them on the watch. While you record, your iPhone can show the same workout, which is why the iPhone app asks for the same Health permission.

Health data stays on your devices and in Apple Health. It is never sent to the developer or to any analytics, advertising or other third-party service, and it is not used for marketing. You can withdraw the permission at any time in the Health app or in iOS Settings.

Purchases & Subscriptions

FourEver Timer Pro is a subscription bought through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; the developer never receives your name, card or billing details.

To know whether a subscription is active, the app uses RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives:

  • a random identifier created for this installation of the app, not linked to your name or Apple ID;
  • your purchase history for this app — the product, purchase and renewal dates, and the App Store receipt;
  • technical details of the request, such as app version, device type, iOS version, App Store country, and IP address.

Usage Data, Crash Reports & Screen Recordings

To understand how the app is used, find faults and improve its design, FourEver Timer uses three services. They run on iPhone only, not on Apple Watch and not in widgets.

  • Google Analytics for Firebase — records events such as opening the app, creating or deleting a timer, starting or finishing a workout (with its length and number of rounds), seeing the subscription screen, purchases, and using a Pro feature (for example a head gesture or a Siri command). Google also records some events by itself, such as the first launch and the start of a session. Events carry a random app-instance identifier, an identifier Apple gives this app on your device (not the advertising identifier), and general device information: model, iOS version, language, app version and approximate country.
  • Firebase Crashlytics — when the app crashes, sends a report with the technical state of the app and device at that moment and a random installation identifier.
  • Microsoft Clarity — records what FourEver Timer's own screens look like while you use them, and where you tap and scroll, so that a session can be replayed. Text that you type, and the names of your timers and exercises wherever they appear, are hidden in these recordings. It records nothing outside the app, and never the camera or microphone.

What is never included: the names of your timers or exercises, the contents of your workout history, Health data, your contacts, or your precise location. No advertising identifier is collected, and this data is not used for advertising or to track you across other companies' apps and websites.

Your Choice

  • In the EU, the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the app asks you first. Nothing described in the previous section is collected unless you tap Allow. The app decides this from your device's region or your App Store country; if either is one of these places, it asks.
  • Elsewhere, collection is on by default.
  • Everywhere, you can change this at any time under Settings → Privacy & Terms → Share Usage Data in the app. Turning it off stops all three services at once.

Purchases through RevenueCat are not affected by this switch: they are needed to provide a subscription you have bought.

Service Providers & International Transfers

These companies process data on the developer's behalf or as part of your Apple account:

These providers may process data in the United States and other countries outside your own. Where the law requires it, transfers rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Data is not sold, and is not shared with anyone else except where the law requires it.

How Long Data Is Kept

  • On your devices and in your iCloud — until you delete it.
  • Usage data — up to 14 months.
  • Crash reports — about 90 days.
  • Screen recordings — about 30 days; summary statistics drawn from them up to 13 months.
  • Purchase records — for as long as needed to provide the subscription and meet legal obligations.
  • Support emails — for as long as needed to answer you and keep a record of the request.

Your Rights & Deleting Your Data

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, to object to its processing or restrict it, and to complain to your data protection authority.

FourEver Timer has no accounts, so the developer usually cannot tell which analytics records are yours. To make a request, write to support@fourever-timer.app and it will be handled as far as the data can be identified. You are also in direct control:

  • Share Usage Data in Settings stops usage data, crash reports and screen recordings.
  • Settings → Data → Clear History removes your saved sessions, completed and partial; a single session can be deleted in History, and timers one by one.
  • Settings → Data → iCloud Sync stops syncing; iCloud data can be removed in iOS Settings → iCloud → Manage Storage.
  • The Health app lets you delete workouts saved there and withdraw permission.
  • Deleting the app removes all timers, history and settings from the device and resets the random identifiers.
  • Subscriptions are managed and cancelled in your Apple account settings.

Children

FourEver Timer is not directed at children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided data, write to the address above and it will be deleted where it can be identified.

Audio & System Features

FourEver Timer uses system capabilities provided by iOS and watchOS to support your workout:

  • Background Audio — to keep timing precise and play interval sound cues while your screen is locked.
  • Live Activities & Dynamic Island — to display remaining workout time and progress on your Lock Screen.
  • Speech Synthesis — to speak phase and exercise names aloud on your device.
  • Notifications on Apple Watch — scheduled on the watch itself to mark each interval; they show the phase or exercise name. The iPhone app sends no notifications.
  • Phone calls — the app notices when a call starts and ends, so it can pause the workout and resume it afterwards. It does not see who is calling or anything said.
  • Haptics — to trigger tactile cues at interval transitions.

None of these features record audio or access your microphone.

Customer Support & Feature Requests

Support is handled directly by email. If you choose to contact support, your email address, message, and any diagnostic details you choose to include will be received by the developer.

The Contact Support and Suggest a Feature buttons in Settings open a new message in your email app, pre-filled with:

  • The FourEver Timer version and build you are running
  • Your iOS version
  • Your device model identifier (e.g., iPhone17,1)

Nothing is sent until you choose to send it. Messages arrive at support@fourever-timer.app, and support emails are used strictly to answer your inquiry.

Crash Reports from Apple

Separately from the above, if you have turned on Share With App Developers in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements, Apple may provide the developer with crash and performance data it has collected. This is controlled by Apple's setting.

Changes & Contact

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted at this web address with a new date.
